Warm reception at the arrival and directly on our table shown. all staff were friendly and attentive and the speed of the service was about right. eating was very nice and the atmosphere was about right for us. the great view of the castle made it a total pleasant experience. I hope to be back.
Absolutely fantastic, beautiful staff and excellent eating in an iconic environment could not come back enough!
The male waiter has tonight the feeling that they feel special, take their moms and help with their chair. service as always is underground and the staff always ask if they want to wait a past, the next dish will be served immediately. if we are in closeland next, we will be back in definitiv,
We must be the unluckiest couple to dine here. We Booked an overnight stay in the Maiden’s Tower rooms at Leeds Castle We then booked an table at this restaurant months ago and checked at if we had a window table overlooking the castle. After being told no, and only dinner bed and breakfast guest get the windows seats. We was told on that call that actually yes we had a window seat as we had booked restaurant months in advance and requested one We turned up at and all the windows tables had gone and we were seated elsewhere. Slightly disappointing but we could have got over that, however the waitress then denied speaking to us minutes earlier confirming we had a table by the windows. No problem as mistakes happen but do not call customers liars because of a stressful day or some other reason Then we order a bottle of wine and ten mins later they come back and say sorry sold out of that wine house wine So we move up to the next couple of levels and order it We then order starters and mains only to have the waitress to say the chicken is sold out already. So we had to choose a different meal and the choice is very limited. mins later our main courses turn up. We had not had even had our starters. To which the waitress says you never ordered any. We said we did and she insisted we did not and again called us liars We decided to have the main course and leave the restaurant as soon as we could. So it was our wedding anniversary break and the dinner evening was ruined forever as the head waitress had a terrible attitude We declined a dessert and then we did get complimented a small dessert sharing dish with “happy anniversary “ written in cream to give them some credit. But it was unfortunately too little too late and the evening was ruined. We did get told covid has meant lots of staff have left and contract caterers are working the kitchen so arrive at to have a choice of food
