Pesto like the one at home. All perfect! Impeccable welcome also thanks to Alessandro, a wonderful host... shame about his football faith Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Very beautiful and characteristic. Excellent service. Food ranging from very good (focaccia, caponata) to good (frying a little greasy). Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €30–40
Simply a spectacle in every sense! Last night my family and I spent a very pleasant evening dining in this Ligurian tavern which pleasantly impressed us from every point of view. The location is very nice, furnished with good taste, combining typical tavern furnishings with the elegance and style of other more contemporary works. Very pleasant are the exposed bricks that surround the walls on which various works are hung that recall the Genoese spirit: singers, football faith... all integrated with beautiful, wooden, restored tables with a huge one that stands out in the entrance room and which it is reserved for conviviality where guests who don 't know each other, even from different families, can dine side by side. The offer is obviously Ligurian in nature and my family and I chose from their very interesting menu a double Ligurian appetizer to share which was made up of various delicacies: vegetable pie, simple farinata with pesto, cheese focaccia, stuffed anchovies , cod frisceu and a fantastic Russian salad that my partner, an expert on the subject, did not hesitate to compare to that of her mother... I think that for a restaurateur this is the best compliment he can receive! We then continued with 4 different dishes: I enjoyed some excellent and abundant testaroli with pesto, my partner some potato ravioli with sea bass, cherry tomatoes and olives, my youngest son some pansoti with walnut sauce and the eldest a plate of stewed octopus. All dishes were widely promoted and appreciated. To continue, while the rest of the family dedicated themselves to desserts, I instead lingered on another course: a fantastic Ligurian rabbit with roast potatoes. The dish was truly exceptional in both quality and preparation. The service was impeccable both from the waitresses and from the kind and friendly owner who spoke with us several times. In each of my reviews I always try to leave some ideas only from a constructive perspective and in this case I allow myself to suggest only two which can obviously also leave the time they find : . The first is linked to the glasses: I understand the desire to recreate an environment as close as possible to the old taverns of the past, but just as modern antiques have been introduced into the furnishings, I believe that a nice glass to be able to taste the wine is not suitable in the slightest in conflict with the rest of the more traditional mise en place. The only gain would be the pleasure the customer would have in tasting the wine. Our companion for the evening was an excellent 2022 Pigato Superiore Baletta from Enrico Dario. The second is purely background, or rather background: Liguria offers a vastness of singer-songwriters that few regions can boast, De Andrè, Fossati, Paoli, Tenco, Lauzi...rightly celebrated also in the wall images. Well, I would say that the playlist in the background can easily already be made, without having to go beyond the region. Congratulations again and see you soon!
