We had many bottles of very well selected wine to go with it. The venue is in such a perfect setting and it was completely full when we were there so I would suggest booking in advance.
DO: The steak frites and everything on the entree menu. DON'T: Load up too much on the freshly baked warm break and whipped butter. But it's soooo good. TIP: Sit outside in the sunroom. It's so much prettier there.
We 've thoroughly enjoyed 'Ten Minutes by Tractor ' and was really looking forward to experiencing 'Petit Tracteur ', the bistro version for lunch of the more high dining degustation 'Ten Minutes '. Not disappointed. A lovely venue with nice views , great smiling service and of course, a great selection of wines. We were seated in the conservatory styled section of the restaurant which was great. It has opening windows so I can imagine in spring and summer it would be a lovely place to be. I loved the steak tartar (it was probably the best I 've ever had) and the beef cheek was absolutely delicious. Others had confit duck, steak and pork belly. Everyone enjoyed each plate and mouthful. We all (4 people) had 2 drinks each and 3 of us had 3 courses and me, just the 2 and it was under $400 which I thought was pretty good value.
Lunch and pastries! Gem of Red Hill! Finally got to taste Chef Marie’s pastries!!! Couldn’t eat or taste all of them at the bistro so we decided to take away at least one of everything! Absolutely delicious with stunning flavours! Enticing to all senses without being overpowered by sugar Can’t wait to see her showcase at 10x reopening late March! She has also attended Cedric Grolet’s classes and worked at the Fat Duck
Was really impressed by the food. Solid French food and an excellent drinks list. Nice ambience in the room with nothing too snobby. A healthy amount of French staff working too.
