The food was decent and unique, but felt overly pretentious for what was actually served. The restaurant was also empty, which I could understand why. The only perk was the unlimited wine for $600.
I recently dined at the Old Black Sheep and was disappointed. The food was overly sweet and the flavors were too strong. I will not be returning.
My family and I decided to try out this restaurant for Mother's Day, looking for something new for both my wife and my mother. We had three children under the age of 10 with us. The restaurant had a special set menu for Mother's Day, and the portions were quite large. The sweet long bao appetizer was delicious, as well as the oysters. My wife and I both enjoyed our main dishes, although the portions were on the smaller side and the prices were a bit high considering the amount of food. This restaurant is best for a fancy dining experience and does not offer typical kids' meals, which may be challenging for families with children. The service was quick, but the background music was not particularly relaxing for upscale dining. The restaurant itself was small with a minimalist, modern vibe that felt cozy. We may return for a more romantic dinner with just my wife and I or for a quality dining experience with adult friends.
I have a table for two for my friend and for Valentine's Day. as it was Valentine's Day, they only offer their 9-course menu and a glass of wine. the portion was a bit small, but every bite was delicious. the plating was just beautiful. some of my favorite dishes were the foie long bao, smoked duck breat, and the crispy crablet bun! the aromen were only clear and it was only compliments of each court. in any case will be back and try her a la carte! must try!
First impressions..... Thunderously loud AC and the wrong music, deco sober but Ok. The food (5 courses)... some ok , some very tasty but for the price nothing special ..... Actually I wouldn 't have even bothered writing a review except for one thing... and if...the staff of this place ever bother to read these reviews, please take note. The opening hours displayed on the door indicated that your establishment is open until 10:30 pm.. so please, at 9pm, try to make your guests feel welcome and avoid giving the impression of hurry up and get out ....when I asked for some tea at the end of the meal I could see this was really a put out for you ...sorry. Anyway I didn 't have the tea and left ....and won 't be back..ever.
