The chapchae was super sweet and salty at the same time. Not to my liking. Didn't finish the dish. As to the omu, I didn't like the idea of putting mayonnaise and ketchup on top. The beef stew was ok. Beef was aplenty and tender. The broth was also sweet, but delicious and fragrant especially when put on top of a hot plain rice.
I had always been a fan of Kim n' Chi. We actually always eat here since it was a good bang for the buck. On my return, I found that they had increased their price. It is okay so long as they also increased the quality or the serving. I ordered my usual bowl of bibimbap which has beef, carrots, cabbage, crabsticks, seaweeds, egg and sesame oil. It still tastes the same bibimbap that I know and love. Thus, I'm surprised with the price increase. Any extra gochujang sauce was charged extra to top that off. They also removed the complimentary kimchi. A Korean meal isn't complete without Kimchi plus their name come from it so they should continue to provide kimchi. Overall, I hope they offer complimentary kimchi again like before. And their price increased so that should make up for it. yogoandcream.com
I've been eating here years ago I like their omurice but today as I've tried their grilled chicken bento box I'm a bit disappointed I went here around 2pm for a quick lunch.I find the grilled chicken overcooked and the texture a bit rubbery. maybe just today .:-(
Their bento box sets are incredible value at 119 pesos each. You can choose from chicken BBQ or their beef stew, but I always go for the latter for a quick weekday dinner after work. Sides are aplenty too.
I came here starving and immediately ordered a plate of their Beef Omu Rice. You can imagine the look of shock that was plastered on my face when I finally received my order. Their servings were generous and by generous, I mean GINORMOUS. The plate was stacked with what seemed like 2 cups of rice enveloped in an omelette and a mountain of steaming hot chapchae topped with beef teriyaki. I thought to myself that this would be impossible to stuff in my belly. But I proved myself wrong after about 15 minutes of religious and talk-free eating. I love that this huge meal didn't cost an arm and a leg. And also how savoury this dish was. I'm officially a fan of their chapchae! This is the perfect budget meal for those who need to satisfy their grumpy bellies with REAL FOOD. Nomnomnom. :)
