MR. JONES - Makati

I ate here only ONCE and it was such a bad experience. The menu was cute and interesting but the food and service were so mediocre. One thing I couldn't stand was when we ordered a classic old school banana split and they served teaspoon-like proportions of flavors that weren't even chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. The banana was so small and it wasn't on a banana split boat. I understand if they were going for a modern twist kind of thing but don't falsely advertise by calling it a classic.

We've had "brunch" here twice, but because of the 11am opening time, it felt more like lunch really (our definition of brunch is 10am). The food was alright, some hits (truffle mac n cheese, huevos rancheros) some misses (reubens sandwich, burgers were ok lang). If you're going there anytime between 11am and 4pm, be prepared to sit out in the heat, the indoor dinning area is very small and they don't accept reservations. Overall, it's pretty pricey considering the quality.
