Contribuisci feedbackWent here last weekend via a foodcrawl ,this was the itinerary for lunch. At first I thought it was another western BBQ place but when we got there it was an Asian inspired restaurant .What really like about this place is that they gave some newness to some basic Asian dishes. Tried the Orange chicken bowl,Taiwanese braised pork bowl,Malaysian Grilled Coconut chicken, Pork belly bao and the Hainanese Rice stuffed chicken. What I liked the bowls were they're already a complete meals ,rice, veggies, protein rolled into one.My favorite of the two was the orange chicken nice citrusy flavor and paired with yang chow rice. The Grilled Coconut Chicken was delicious love those Southeast Asian flavors especially complemented by the coconut cream sauce. My favorite of all is the pork bao, mantau stuffed with braised pork belly and crispy pork skin. The softness of the bread ,the salty taste of the pork and the crunch of the chicharon made this dish multi dimensional. The Stuffed rice chicken ,it is fair tastewise nothing spectacular about it,yet how they assembled it made it interesting .You can enjoy both the rice and the chicken wing in one bite .Better put some sambal and grated ginger before biting into it to perk up the flavor. Reasonable prices and good service, will come back to try the Mongolian BBQ.

I enjoyed the food most especially the Hainanese Rice Stuffed Chicken Wings which are too cute too eat.(But I ate mine anyway) and the Baos, yum!!! I also enjoyed its Duck Noodles and the Orange Chicken. If you want some Taiwanese fix, you better head to Nomads. It offers drinks too, but I only tried the Boba Fetish (just because I heard that it contains matcha). I sipped a little and it's good!
Nomads Barbeque Refuge is one of the hidden gems we discovered while exploring Poblacion. We love the place so much we decided to share it to fellow foodies by way of an event. April 29, 2017 - Meet Up and Eat Up with FoodGrammerPh organized by my homies. Think of this as an event to bring foodies together. They specialize in Mongolian fare and when they meant the adjective to the core. Man, the food is undeniably good, careful created and all of the adjectives synonymous to delicious. Hainanese Chicken. This dish made me giddy the moment i took my first bite. There is hainanese rice inside the chicken!!!! How awesome is that? I dont wanna ho into detail on how awesome this dish is. I dare you to try it and see for yourself. Salmon Bao. Nomads set the standard for baos. This is wickedly good! What made this good? Simple, it all comes down to the bao! What they use is soft and has the right texture. And oh, i love Salmon. Orange Chicken, Duck Noodles were served during the event and everyone has nothing but praises. It goes to show that Nomads is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to Mongolian Fare. Peace Out!
