The place is just small but not much customers so it wasn't crowded when we dined. Air conditioning was not working well so they had to put up air coolers in every corner of the place. The food tastes good! We just ordered their bangus belly sinigang sa miso & gabi P280 and binagoongang baboy with okra P350. The sinigang has just the right amount of sourness though the portion is really small. Only 2 strips of belly. The pork binagoongan has the right amount of saltiness, pork is really tender.. really yummy! In my opinion though, serving could have been bigger. I'm willing to pay more for bigger portions of these dishes. I think they portioned their servings enough for 1-2 pax. The ginger calamansi smoothie tastes like tamarind but we didn't like it that much so not recommending it. Their Guni Guni or the sugar-free Sisa's Dementia is really really gooooooodddd ???? It's chocolate mousse with bits of almond and covered in more chocolate! Just enough sweetness, really really yummy! A place nice to dine at when going on dates or for small groups due to the serving size but all in all food is really nice.

Note: Late Review I've read Noli Me Tangere in high school. I barely remember the story, some of the characters escaped my memory except for three. Ze well known love team Philippine Literature - Ibarra and Maria Clara and the Spanish Friar who raised hell over dinner due to a bad chicken part. Kids, that's Padre Damaso. Nope, i aint writing a book review. I am gonna spill the beans on the namesake of Padre Damaso in restaurant form. Restaurante Pia Y Damaso. I'll be honest this joint intimidates me for some reason. I feel like a high school kid again. My fear is that the servers would ask me Noli related questions or there is a secret password before one can enter. Had dinner here with Grams and my uncle visiting from Canada. We ordered a shitload of stuff, all i remember is Kapitan Tiago's Kare Kare and Tubig ni Maria Clara. Dibs for creative names for the dishes. They are staying true to the Noli theme. Kare Kare - native stew made with peanut sauce, beef tripe, tail and meat, served with bagoong shrimp paste on the side. I have always liked this homegrown stew. Damaso's version is not as good as the others I've tried though (Kanin Klub's seafood kare kare). Dont get me wrong, the meat is cooked well, it lacks the peanut flavor that I'm looking for. The shrimp paste saves the day. Tubig ni Maria Clara. Fresh cucumber juice, ginger and citrus water. Light and refreshing. Do not let your fear of ginger hinder your from trying this, no traces of ginger flavor. Overall, my Damaso experience is okay, not remarkable, their price is a lil steep compared with the other restaurants. One can get an awesome kare kare without coughing out too much dough.

Nice place, cozy and relaxed ,great for dates, coffee and conversations. Came from.a buffet lunch, spent an afternoon coffee and merienda here to wrap things up. The brewed coffee is good ordered their version of Brazo de Mercedes which is one of the best I've tasted not the usual one, nice texture from the top with that meringue crust, sliding to the whites until the very rich yellow custard. Will frequent this place for coffee and cakes. Great option instead of the usual commercial coffee places.
