River View Cafe - Malacca

Beautiful place by the river, good food, friendly staff. Definitely recommend

Ordered boneless butter chicken massala and lamb shank biryani, both are very delicious. Although took quite some time to prepare as only one person named Chef Saeed is making the foods, drinks and taking the orders for tonight, so quite understandable. The drinks are tasty as well, a good way to end tonight with a happy tummy, thank you (ps: quite pricy though, so don't expect it to be cheap

One of the Pakistani worker was very friendly and the nasi briyani was tasty too. Recommended if you wish to chill and eat by the Malacca river.

I think the previous owner already change. The food standard cooked by the chef not really worth that the expensive price. I believe Tripadvisor 's recommendation but the food of the current restaurant even can 't survive in normal food court. Just to say that a lot of disappointment: 1. Owner say early reservation to avoid the food cooked late (like 8pm), we reached there about 6.30pm. Finally all the food cooked well at 830pm, so what the point for reservations? 2. Owner give 2 mineral water for free to 9 people of us, we ask for 7 more drinks if it is free. Then a crew take the mineral water and say that boss give . Then the receipt also charge us the mineral water fee. 3. Owner shows some communication problem to us with english. But his crew more worse. I don 't say that our english are so good but even though the basic sentence they also can misunderstood. Bruh... 4. For the food, we have 9 people and make ordered individual so we have 9 dishes. What I have ordered is Fish and Chips, the price is about RM20, I don 't even expect that they can cooked 3 fish fillet and some french fries for the price, I saw the picture of fish and chips of 2 years ago were not like that, completely different. What my friend ordered is salad like RM10, the salad don 't have the salad sauces like mayonnaise on it, it just some carrot, apple, and lettuce. Can you imagine that how the restaurant get recommended by Tripadvisor? I don 't think so. Last to emphasize back that, I think the owner already changed.

Amazing cosy coffee shop by the river.. With a killer view. It is quiet and chic. Prices are ok and they also have inside area, also nice. They have AC and fans so for sure inside it is good for cooling down after a walk in the hot sun.
