Reserve copies are not available, but the establishment there in the UW area is nice.
I go to this Starbucks on my way to work and the baristas put fun stickers on my food bags! Always makes me smile.
I was at this Starbucks on Saturday May 7th in the early AM. I was just grabbing some java while checking emails on my phone basically a normal day for me. Everything was ordinary until a sketchy dude walked in and started talking to the barista at the cash register. There was clearly something off about him he was very agitated, animated, and loud. I could overhear something about a missing car. A second man appeared and walked with the sketchy dude over to a seating area where they had a conversation. After that employee walked away, sketchy dude picked up his phone and had the loudest phone conversation I 've ever heard. Apparently he was trying to convince a family member to help him find his car? I lost track of the dialogue because 1/2 of it was straight F Words. Every noun punctuated with an F Word. If I weren 't trying to enjoy a quiet Starbucks cafe at 7am, I 'd be impressed at the sheer volume of cursing. As it was, I couldn 't focus on the emails I was trying to check and it just made me anxious. At some point security shows up and there was more conversation (between the cursing) and a woman comes out to talk to sketchy dude as well. Security didn 't do anything but stand around and it sounded like the sketchy dude told the woman to F Off . I had assumed this person was the manager since she was the second person to speak with him. But then security left, the woman left, and the original employee left too. Sketchy dude was still sitting there. I guess technically he was slightly quieter, but his rampant cursing was still very audible. At that point I just looked around incredulously at the lack of action and decided to leave. I understand being inclusive. But that means you have to cultivate an environment where EVERYONE feels welcome. When you allow a person to disrupt a business to this extent, I think you 've missed the whole point. I did not feel welcome. I can 't imagine how the non management staff felt having to work in that environment. I assume management was okay with it because they just let him sit there, full on cursing. I can see why these stores are unionizing.
Mid sized Starbucks (1 of 4) in U Village. Nice vibe, enough seating but not as criwded as the main starbucks
