Mary Grace Shangri La Plaza

Service exceeds expectations. I was looking for a spot with outlet, and they called me via mobile when the table became available. When I got seated, my plug wasn’t compatible, but they noticed and offered their adapter. Very opposite of other establishments who make you feel uncomfortable when you bring out your laptop. Kudos to the team!

My all time fave Mary Grace Hot Chocolate, still the best..

I came here to eat because this is one of my family's favorite places to eat. The food is amazingly delicious here that is the only reason I give the 2 stars). This is the first time I came and dine in a Mary Grace cafe to be treated and feel like an insignificant customer. my daughter just finished her 2nd vaccine so we decided to eat and of course I chose Mary Grace. My hair was in a bun and I actually looked like I was going to the palengke or something wearing only jeans and t-shirt. I had to come to their counter because no one would come to assist us as if we're invisible. We ordered 2 pastas, casava chips, lemon squares, raspberry ice tea and 2 coffee. We obviously ordered a lot for 2. Still I felt we were being judged by the way we dressed remember the Pretty Woman scene of discrimination). The table next to us was a woman rich looking attire they handled her with care alright. They gave us glasses but didn't offer water the other table they gave a glass and immediately offered water and left it there) it took time before they gave us utensils for our lemon square, they didn't even offer us a paper envelope for our masks but gave the the next table as soon as they gave her the water here ma'am, you can put your mask here) sabi pa with care. Oh jeez! This is infuriating they obviously judge on how a person looks. This is the first and last time I'm going to this place. Sayang. Such a waste. Mary Grace for me has a very nice reputation but now I'm just disappointed.

We visited after lunch on a weekday. By then the crowd passing through behind our table was relatively thin-a good thing because we were situated along the corridor. It also meant that the wait staff were more relaxed and attentive. Service was quick, too. I had iced coffee which was served separately from the vanilla cream and the simple syrup. I only poured a very small amount of the cream, no sweetener added so that it would not overpower the delicious toasted cheese roll. I must say that it was a surprisingly wonderful pairing on a humid afternoon. Both were gone before I knew it. Sigh.

Mary Grace never fails. Ive waited 30mins for my meal but it was worth it. Mushroom soup and Dory with saffron pasta tasted so good. One of my go to place if im in Manila.
