Double Happy Bbq Shop Hongkong Style

We had a very satisfying meal on a Saturday afternoon. The serving size was big and the roast chicken was so flavoursome and tender. The rice was soaked with the sauce that they poured on the chicken and it tasted really really good. Makes the plain rice so flavourful. We ordered a roast duck with rice and roast chicken with rice for only $19. Highly recommended!!

Been going to Double Haps for years and for what you pay its well worth it. <br/ <br/ It has dropped its standards somewhat in terms of its signature dish the Peking duck. Flavour is up and down. Plain crispy duck when its down and full of flavour when they nail it. Avoid if you arent a fan of aniseed. Use to eat there a lot but have stopped going as much due to the inconsistencies of the ducks flavour.<br/ <br/ BBQ pork and  roast pork are always good. Roast pork may have a little too much fat for some as its the belly thats used. Pretty plain but the crackling is always on point. <br/ <br/ I find the roast chicken always a little salty. Think its brined first and the salt is concentrated on the skin. If they have any chicken wings then they are always good. Cooked with the same flavour as the BBQ pork. Not a regular menu item so its hit and miss whether they have any most times.<br/ <br/ Again, for what you pay its a great meal with good bang for buck. Make sure you get chilli and dont miss the spring onion relish type side.

Fav pork on rice place. I've tried bbq pork, roast chicken, duck, ribs and chicken wings best by far. Decent portions, affordable and reasonable wait time. This place is usually busy.

Havent been here for a while. Came today after school. For $9 you will get a very generous plate. We ordered the roast pork and BBQ pork. The BBQ pork has a lovely sweetness to it. Lovely colour. The roast pork is juicy with crunchy pork crackling. The rice is cooked well and has a lovely sauce poured on top. It has a serving on the side of this spring onion salad type thing. I have always enjoyed that and a new thing on the plate is like a shredded potato and onion salad? They use to have greens. Did not care much for the potato thingy. The rest of the plate was delicious. I think this place is another hidden gem that is good value for money. Service us fast and friendly.

Love this place! I always order the BBQ pork, it can be a bit hit and miss sometimes with the pork being dry but it's usually so good! Really busy during the lunch rush but the staff serve you very quickly. Would highly recommend BBQ pork and the chicken wings.
