Slay Steak Fish House - Manhattan Beach

Annie is a great manager and she was very smoooth my son and I. We love that they have a nice TV with some sports. It is a nice distraction and adds a nice touch to this fine place. Wine by the glass list was superb btw.

First off, the atmosphere was delightful, and the customer service was outstanding throughout our entire evening. We felt truly heard—every request was met with a smile, and our needs were attended to without feeling overwhelmed. We started with the incredible rolls that were baked to perfection. Next, we shared the Bleu Cheese wedge salad. Since my friend isn't a fan of bleu cheese, they kindly brought us a deconstructed version so we could prepare it to our liking—how thoughtful! I must echo the praises of other reviews regarding the scallops; they were simply amazing. They practically melted in our mouths! We also shared the panko-crusted filet with broccolini, which was another hit. As a delightful surprise, our waiter, Jose, treated us to a delicious slice of lemon blueberry cheesecake to celebrate our joint birthdays. We will definitely be craving this place for a long time, and I hope to visit again soon. On our way out, I had the chance to personally thank David Slay, and what a great guy he is!

The restaurant has plenty of seating, and the interior is quite attractive. I found the food to be good, though not exceptional. I had high hopes for the steak, but it turned out to be just average. While it is a bit on the expensive side, I'm glad I had the experience. The service was excellent, and the staff checked in on us frequently.

The baked avocado was incredibly tasty. Our server was kind and friendly. I really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was nice and friendly, providing great entertainment as well. However, everything felt a bit on the expensive side. We sampled the panko-crusted filet of sole, pork chop, fish stew, and squash blossom, all of which were excellent. I highly recommend trying this place at least once.
