Chicken platter was nice, great salad, tasty spices, well cooked. Rice and spinach a bit bland. No complementary water, had to buy a bottle for $1. Overall a bit too pricy for the experience.
Great menu, just updated. Friendly, delicious options. Not spicy unless you want it! Highly recommended.
Let the owner broil some unbelievable chicken shish kabob for you soon. The location near the Manlius swan ponds give you a perfect place to walk after dinner.
Wonderful Food Gracious Host Support it We were driving around our so to be new 'hood looking for a place for lunch that was not a chain. The options in Fayetteville Manlius seem even more limited than those in downtown. We saw Open Flame and pulled in. The place is sparsely decorated but very tasteful and elegant. The food choices are South Asian and Mexican plus hot dogs. I asked the owner/chief why this collection. His answer immediately won me over it is what I am comfortable cooking and what my children like to eat . I told him this was our first time and asked what we should try he said one of the kabobs which comes with some rice, a little salad and some beans and then he said add a little Nan and you will be very happy . So I ordered lamb kabobs with nan and indeed was more than a little happy. My husband had a mixed burrito so we could sample both sides of the menu. He was also happy. Everything was made to order so it took a few minutes but the food was beautifully presented on brightly colored plates and delicious. The noise level in the restaurant is not quiet the surfaces are bright and reflective. If you are sitting in there when someone with extended personal space is talking, you will hear every word they say.
