The person serving us brought something we didn't ask and when I told him that it was wrong he simply said "no it's not" and walked away (probably worth to notice that the dish in question was one of the most expensive on the list). No apologies, no talking, the waiter simply walked away and left the dish on the table. Not at all a recommendable experience. Better to just pass directly by it and go to any of the restaurants next to it, where the staff is incredible nice and the food just as good, if not better.
A small Turkish café good for a quick lunch. We were jusz looking around and came to this place by chnace in the tuerkish area of mannheim. The Durem Döner was tasty and the lentil soup good and served with a generous helping of fresh baked bread. They have their own wood fired oven for bread and Pide and cook over charcoal for the kebaps. Good ayran too. Meal for 2 8.50€.
Service left a little to be desired, but the food was definitely authentic turkish fare - juicy meats grilled just right, and light fluffy bread to soak up the drippings with. Note that unlike Lebanese or other middle eastern food, they don't have much by the way of sauces.
The food is very good, the seating is awful we sat right next to the toilets, yuk.The staff are very unfriendly, especially the young girl the waitress ,I felt like slapping her face. The bread is homemade it is to die for, just a shame about the waitress. This young lady has definitely put me off from going to sultan again.
Simple place with the heart of Turkey! Open till late hours specialy for those looking for an after party meal.
