Don't forget to check the big cinnamon rolls. All right, breakfast in stock next morning. The perfect place to stop when in a camper, beautiful long parking spaces.
We found out that the Gingerbread Village had opened again. There's a nice friendly family that runs it. All our orders were good and some very good! I had the reubs and it was a quality reub. Our friends reported that the Gingerbread was very good. You serve breakfast all day and a friend got a delicious omelet. The menu on this page is old and not correct. I hope to try something else soon.
Two important things: This restaurant is located in Mapleton, not in Walton. And it's Pop's Gingerbread Smokehouse now. I was there with my cousin today. I have eggs and sausages with grits and a freshly made cookie. He has the biggest breakfast Burrito I've ever seen in my life! He said it was delicious, and was only able to get through about 1/3 of it. Mine was simple and good. The service was warm, attentive and fast. It's a sweet old restaurant in the middle of the forest, and I'd go back.
I have always loved coming here after a trip to the coast . great childhood memories of the warm gingerbread and ice cream . tasted just as good as an adult.
Family. Grandma, mom and I went to Florence Oregon and stopped on the way back to Eugene. We have been waiting to have some gingerbread cake with ice cream for years. Two of us live in Kansas so we stopped by the restraunt not knowing they were closed. So we went inside and she told us that she did not mind serving us anyway. It was so nice of her that we were so glad we got a chance to have it. It taste the same since I was a kid. Thanks again to leave it open for us we enjoyed a lot.
