The food was acceptable, but the restaurant's cleanliness left much to be desired. The carpet was filthy, and the air conditioning vents had a thick layer of dirt on them. The walls are in need of a fresh paint job, and the chairs and booths could certainly use some attention. Additionally, we had to wait 35 minutes for our food. We learned that the restaurant had previously operated as a buffet and is currently facing some issues with table service. While I understand these challenges, maintaining a clean environment is essential. Service: Dine-in, Meal type: Lunch.

I strongly recommend trying the Seafood Buffet Night, Catfish Filets, Fried Shrimp, Cornbread, Hamburger Steak, and the Hamburger Steak Dinner. All in all, this restaurant provides an outstanding dining experience with mouthwatering food, top-notch service, and a wonderful ambiance.

The restaurant has permanently closed. While Google shows that it is no longer in operation, Yelp has yet to update its status.

We picked up our truck driver friend at the truck stop and headed to The Oaks around 5:00 PM on Saturday, June 2nd. When we arrived, we noticed a large green poster board on the door announcing that the Class of '67 was meeting at Jim's Buffet Restaurant, with a note at the bottom stating that The Oaks is closed. What's going on? Are they permanently closed?

The staff at the front counter were exceptionally rude and unhelpful during our visit to pick up our takeout order. Our order was only partially ready, with the food left out, cold, and neglected. When I asked the woman at the counter to check on the status of the rest of our order, she dismissed me, saying she couldn't help because she had other customers to attend to. We had to wait and watch as other customers who arrived after us were served first. To top it off, the cashier even suggested that we go into the kitchen and fetch our order ourselves! When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told that no one was available. The customer service was appalling. I honestly don't see how this place can stay in business with such high prices, especially given the poor quality and service. We'll be taking our business to Jim's instead!
