The desserts are comfortable eating delightful. We met a woman and her big group of friends outside when we left. She just lost her husband. They celebrated the night they and their husband had their first date. 50 years ago. Grab a handful of Tootsie Rolls when you go. One is free, another is 1 cent each.
My wife and I loved everything about this place. The atmosphere of a 1940 diner was everywhere. While we were looking for some Bar-B-Q, the staff kindly educated us that their Bar-B-Q was a method to cook the food and not a sauce. Oh, and they haven't served French fries since they opened more than 80 years ago. We sat at the counter to get a better look at the charities they do. I ordered a double cheeseburger, my wife a single. I'm not typically a fan of brown mustard, but the ketchup, mustard, pickles and onion was great. The bakery was the best. Prices very fair.
Cool old diner! You have amazing food! The interior is dated, but I think it only adds to the charm. We had cheeseburgers and a butterscotch malt. The burgers were juicy and delicious! You are on the small side, so maybe order two I would recommend that someone here stop for a quick bite! They're just cash, so ready.
Such a fun retro little place. What you see in the menu is what you get. Sandwiches, shakes, soda, coffee. I saw a stand with chips. There is no friteuse, all velvets. And they're good.
Great spot for a charcoal grilled burger..looks like a 1955 diner..super friendly people and the burger was great!
