Barhead Hotel - MARKDALE

Sadly, this wonderful restaurant is "on hold" awaiting repair from damaging spring flooding. There's always several options of unique, tasty meals in addition to a regular menu of pub food. Hope it's able to re-open soon!

When I take myself or a friend out for dinner, it's nice to hit a spot where the food is fresh and local. I used to get the local whitefish, but now that I'm a vegetarian I stick mostly to salad. View and location are great and a full service bar for desert!

Hidden away but beautiful scenery, always friendly. Eat inside or out on the patio. 1st place we ever went to when we came to Markdale. Use local veggies and food

You always get variety at the Barrhead - every meal we have had is great - but if you like mussels you have to try theirs, they are awesome - best option on the menu. But don't limit yourself to the menu - try their daily specials!

Has both dining room with water fall attraction as well as bar and pub with pool table--some unusual and tasty entres soups are always excellent
