Chateau Orleans Po-boys - Marrero

Can’t believe we waited this long to go here! Food, service and atmosphere is top notch! They made us feel like we had been going there forever!Food: 5/5

Great food, as a local business in Marrero LA this restraunt does great. Continues to be my go-to lunch spot when I need something to eat. I call in order on the phone and the food is ready when I arrive.I highly recommend the Hamburger Steak with the french fries as well as the catfish platter. This catfish is some of the best cat fish ever.

The shrimp on bun is my favorite!! But I recently tried it on po-boy bread but asked to not have the bread put on the grill and that made my sandwich perfect!! Plus I had more!! I did a review on my Facebook page (And We Are Live Again With Duan) titled New Orleans vs Memphis. My daughter and I did reviews on po-boys here and there. Of course Chateau won!!! Hands down!!

I’m beyond confused as to how this place has over 4 stars.This place is FILTHY. I’d be terrified to see the kitchen:*The windows are dirty (see photos) with greasy hand prints and literal dirt.*The chairs are stained and ripped with dirty handprints on the backside where people grab them to slide them out.*I walked in at opening (11am) and there were tables that hasn’t been cleaned since the last time they were open.*There’s Christmas trees still up covered in dust.*And annoyingly they put exterior security cameras with motion sensor light indoors. There was more than one and it gets you right in the eye if you’re at the wrong angle.!! But to the FOOD REVIEW !!Third customers in the door and our food wasn’t hot. (We got fries and roast beef po boys)The roast beef and gravy just seemed rather bland. Making putting deli meat in McCormick gravy and serving it. No added seasoning.The fries were half cooked.The only pluses were the bread being good and the portion being an average size. (Which is why they got 2 stars)Overall the place looks very run down

GREAT FOOD! Very pleasant staff and dining room. Family owned and operated. Awesome poboys that maybe the best in the state ?.Parking: Abundant parking for the size of the business. Never a shortage of parking spaces.
