Mangia Bene Trattori - Martinez

We went to Emperor in Martinez, but we came too soon as the appointment time. So we saw all the restaurants nearby on Google. We saw IHOP nearby and moved to the parking lot saw this Italian restaurant. Google says 4.4 stars, so we have decided to give an attempt. I ordered Presto Pasta, my husband ordered Lasagne. The bread is so fresh, diving sauce is very good. Both dishes are very delicious and you can taste homemade non-frozen ingredients. Believe or not, they serve foam water. It's very refreshing. We are very impressed by this hidden gem and the owner's daughter told us they were there 26 years. The price is super reasonable. I will definitely recommend again and very much!

I'm not a big fan of Italian restaurants usually, it's too easy to throw low quality sauce along with shop purchased noodles and load $20 a plate. However, Mangia Bene is such a welcome exception. Your food is tasteful and well prepared and it made for such a wonderful date night. This is now the place where I want to fulfill my future Italian desires:

This restaurant has not disappointed! I have the children spaghetti, and my husband and I have pasta dishes. We cleaned all our plates! We also have the bread pudding and it was wonderful! We will definitely return.

Solid quality, value and attentive service. We shared an app and emptied and they shared and served the pasta in separate bowls that was a nice touch. Great portions.

The staff is always pleasant accommodating and a joy to see whenever we are there. Always look forward to going and coming back the next time. Food is always ALWAYS spot on and so delicious!! Highly recommend!!
