Mary Delicious - Maryborough

We stopped in for morning tea with our grandson and ordered coffee and raison toast. The coffee was only warm when we asked for extra hot, the menu said the toast was thick and it wasn't, our grandson liked his ice cream that's the second star. Sorry folks not worth the effort.

Stopped here for lunch. Fast, friendly service, good food. Had to have some fudge too. Highly recommended.

Mary Delicious is a hidden gem of a restaurant. They offer great coffee, incredible fudge made with locally sourced ingredients, and a wide selection of lollies displayed on the walls. If you're hungry, make sure to try their delicious burgers made with love and care. The cafe is conveniently located just a few meters away from the iconic statue of Mary Poppins on the street corner. The Portside district and Gatakers Artspace are also nearby.

Mary Delicious is so much more than a cafe, it's a place you will want to come back to time and time again.Firstly, there is the fudge made by the amazing Rebecca. It's hand made, proper fudge like you remember from your childhood. There is always a wide variety of flavours to choose from and it's well worth a try.Next are the scones. OMG, they are amazing. They are a nice big size and come with cream and your choice of jam. Have them as part of the a Devonshire Tea as the tea and coffee here is very good.Scones aren't the only thing on the menu though, the steak sandwich and burgers are amazing too! They are big and require two hands so bring your appetite as you'll need them but don't worry about the cost, as they are excellent value for money.Finally, Mary Delicious is an old fashioned lolly store where you will find rows and rows of chocolates and lollies from your childhood that you can buy individually or by the packet. You will love seeing so many of your old favourites here as well as new things to try.Whether you dine in and sit in the nice courtyard or takeaway, you will be very happy you choose Mary Delicious.
