Old Sydney Hotel - Maryborough

My hubby and I had lunch here today ( Saturday). Hubby had the lunch rump and I had the butternut pumpkin salad. The steak was cooked to perfection with nice salad and chips and mushroom sauce. My salad was so nice, with avocado, apple, nuts, tomatoes, cucumber, carrot and of course pumpkin. The dressing on the salad was very yum as was the whole meal. The meals were of a good size and very reasonably priced.Would certainly recommend.

First time visit with another couple .Originally was our second choice place to dine ,BUT will be our first next time.Cold beers at the right price(pints on special $6).Lady taking meal orders,showed she loves her job with pleasant personality/service.Even knew our table number without us telling her.Atmosphere good but facilities not to the same level as there other hotel in Bundaberg(Melbourne Hotel).Exteremely dark up in bar area adjoining the dining.Would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Long flight to sydney but the wait was worth every penny old sydney hotel on the rocks nice place its a holiday inn, but really nice. The view from the rooftop pool -spa is second to none the bridge and the opera house in full splendour.. bout £100 a night but worth every penny nice...

Drove up to Maryborough for a visit with cousin and went to this hotel for dinner Thursday night, I had the best rissoles and mash ever.

This restaurant has changed its ambience over the years and certainly moves with the times. It is a great place for dining, either as a couple or in a party group. The staff are always ready to assist with either menu suggestions or choice of tables for whatever the purpose of your visit. If you want steak cooked just as you ask for, this is the place to go. As retirees, we always make use of the $5 voucher on the back of the Woolworths docket. This enables you to obtain 2 meals for not much more than the price of one. Just remember to show the voucher before the till is used. There is a good children's playground available and it does not detract from the diners' enjoyment as I have often found in other such restaurants. There is also a bar for refreshments. You don't have to miss the football on a Thursday night if you're so inclined as there is a large TV on the wall away from the eating area. All up, a very peasant dining experience in air-conditioned surroundings.
