We enjoyed sitting in the sun on the deck with a view of the marina and Mary River. We both ordered the Bruschetta with red onion, feta, tomatoes, mushrooms, and a poached egg on top. The coffees arrived first and although they tasted burnt, they were still drinkable. The meals were beautifully presented, delicious, and a good value at $18.
We were driving through the area and needed to find a place for lunch with my husband and two kids. We saw this restaurant down the road, located right on the Mary River. The menu had some interesting fusion dishes. I tried the cold wintermelon soup and found it to be quite good. I wasn't planning on having a drink, but the wine was reasonably priced and they also had bubble tea for the kids. It was a beautiful spot for a relaxing lunch, and we even had fun watching the large catfish in the river when we accidentally dropped a chip in.
We went for breakfast and enjoyed great coffee and delicious breakfasts. The restaurant is situated by the river, allowing us to enjoy the cool morning weather while sitting outside and taking in the beautiful views.
We accidentally came upon this great restaurant on the wharf on a Sunday. Enticing acoustic guitar and vocals by Pete Baker could not be ignored. We weren’t super hungry so shared a grilled chicken and pesto toasted sandwich delicious with crispy French fries that were as good as they get. The service was also very good as were the river and boat views. PS We loved the the fact that previous flood levels have been recorded on the wall of the restaurant mind blowing!
What a great marina. A historic town worthy of staying a few days at least. The owners are having a real go it shows. The restaurant was fabulous we were lucky enough to arrive on Thursday night. You will have to come see for yourself
