Cafe alfredo holds a very special place in my heart. This is the place where my high school friends and I always go to after school to catch up. This is also used to be my bf and I's favorite nearby (since it's just a few blocks away from my home) and affordable merienda/pasta place. However, we don't go here as often nowadays because we became really busy. Ghad, i think we used to come here everyweek? Lol. Since we were a regular customer I can't tell how many beautiful and fun memories happened here. a reason why as I said, it holds a very special place in my heart. Another reason why is because of how their food is so yummy
Check the comments for my updated experience... My first impression was to go there today, on a Friday afternoon, for lunch, only to be told it was closed because the attendant was having lunch and they would reopen by 1pm : So I came back at 1:45pm; they were still closed. There isn't a lot of parking in the area so I decided to leave my van in the front and walk around the neighborhood. When I came back after two they are still closed. The lights have been on the whole time but no one is home.
Cafe Alfredo is located at the ground floor of a two-storey apartment along Rainbow Street between Gold and Lavender sts. It is a small cozy cafe designed to cater to mostly students and teachers in the area. Guests are welcome to dine and relax in its clean and comfy nooks. Cafe Alfredo's Pasta Alfredo is one of our favorites in their limited menu. Its creamy alfredo sauce with a buttered toast was satisfying. We've also tried the Chicken and Mushroom Linguini, Chicken Afritada, Mechado, Grilled Cheese and Tuna and Cheese sandwiches and Rootbeer Float. Most menu items are good for single serving and the cost is very affordable. Madel, who regularly serves us each time we visit is very nice and accommodating.
When we were looking for a quick merienda after a long tiring day, we came across this small cafe when we were going home. From the outside you would know that this place is very small, as the lot it resides in is very narrow, my car barely fits in the entrance. But once inside, it 's likes a small play pen, with bits and pieces of playing area, bookshelf and sala set, all in one area. It 's cute if you ask me. For our short merienda, we had English Breakfast and Winter Melon Bubble tea. We also ordered grilled cheese sandwich on the side. I was really amazed with the hot tea, as it was served in a tea pot, this helps in the cute experience but the taste was just alright, as this is just your regular tea bag placed in a pot. The winter melon bubble tea also tasted alright, however adding pearls were not available. It might have added to the taste if this was available. Finally for grilled cheese sandwich, it was a press toasted Gardenia sandwich with cheese inside. The taste was good. All in all it was average and was very cheap, we only paid P100 for everything. Cafe Alfredo is a good hang out place for students, it 's very affodable and has a very care free ambiance. They also have free wifi, which is a nice addition to this cute cafe.
