Chipotle Mexican Grill - Matthews

I had my first experience at Chipotle, and Summer was my server! The food was delicious! She even treated me to lunch! Awesome! The staff is great!

The portion sizes for deliveries are consistently disappointing. I always order double steak, but they often serve me what feels like only half. Paying $18 for rice and cheese is frustrating. To make matters worse, a staff member mentioned that when they have larger portions for some customers, they deliberately give smaller portions to others. If I could, I would give them zero stars.

For me, the presentation of a dish is just as important as its taste. When I received my order, the side of the bag was wet for some reason, and when I got home, I noticed something dripping out of my pocket. Upon opening the bag, I discovered the cause: my burrito bowl had been placed sideways in the pocket, causing it to spill. This was very disappointing. I’m giving it three stars because the taste of the food was decent, and the other two items I ordered looked excellent.

Initially, the restaurant was closed due to a gas leak, which seemed odd since other nearby shops were open and operating. We decided to order online, as instructed, and were told our order would be ready in about five minutes. Unfortunately, it wasn’t ready until over an hour later. To make matters worse, some parts of our order were incorrect, and we were given no discount for the inconvenience. I used to love Chipotle, and this location was good in the past, but I’m really let down by the service and overall experience lately.

I'm in the industry and understand the fights in recent years. I worked on a point for this brand so I can understand more. Unfortunately, this place has fallen rapidly after my visit. Cleanliness, standards, food quality everything. From Guacamole, black beans, Fajita-Veggies at 1130? A young man works at noon, a POS tries to help the line while people with gloves, an online, a barbecue guy without headgear. Randomly a manager who seemed to do to try things prep would be his head on the ground.
