I had wrapped delicious scallops in a bacon jacket over potato salad with pine nuts and salad. Good food, good location in a beautiful environment. Do not miss this restaurant when you visit the castle!
We went to lunch because the restaurant is only 200 metres from Bürresheim Castle that we visited this morning. I must say I was not too convinced that it would have been a good choice because all mixed reviews from other travelers; but it turned out it was. We found a shaded place on the terrace without reservation and we had a great view of the simply maintained garden. The service staff was very friendly and attentive. The cheese and onion bread brought along was fragrant and delicious. The food was excellent. We had lamb that simply melted into the mouth and really tender fillet. For our son we ordered sausages (which were also of the best quality) and salad. What I like most about the restaurant is how child-friendly it was. Inside they have a children's corner there with small tables and chairs and lots of toys and Crayons. Outside there is a trampoline and children can also play on the bench of the small flat stream that runs next to the restaurant. We're definitely going back.
The food was excellent. The restaurant is nice inside. You also have a very nice winter garden terrace. The service was great. The server was very friendly and helpful.

We went there for lunch because the restaurant is just 200 mt away from Schloss Bürresheim that we visited that morning. I must say, I was not too convinced it would have been a good choice because of all the mixed reviews of other travellers; but it turned out it was. We found a shaded place on the terrace with no reservation and we had a great view of the simply manicured garden. The service staff were very friendly and attentive. Inside they have a children corner there with small tables and chairs and plenty of toys and crayons. Outside there is a trampoline and children can also play on the bank of the little, shallow stream that runs next to the restaurant. We will definitely go back.
