Mr. Hive Kitchen - Melbourne

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food here, especially since we often have bad or mediocre dining experiences. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the accompanying sauce complemented it wonderfully. The grilled prawns were delicious, though there were only four pieces. However, the standout dish was the risotto—it was seasoned and cooked exceptionally well.

An unforgettable fine dining experience. Everything from the food to the atmosphere and the staff were satisfactory beyond belief. Would definitely return in the future.

LOVED both the café side of this restaurant and also the buffet. The buffet, (and I’ve been to a lot) was the BEST I’ve ever experienced, I came at breakfast time and the quality and types of food was next levelI very highly recommend , Even though it wasn’t cheap, you’ll 100% leave satisfied The plunger coffee was an awesome touch, as was the donut wallAt the café, I have to give mention to the polenta porridge, I was hesitant at first, but man it was good!!!

Mr. Hive provides fantastic value, particularly within the Crown complex. The 'Victoria by the Glass' menu offers a wonderful selection and includes a glass of wine. The duck was outstanding and the standout dish of the meal. The staff are also exceptional. If you visit during the week, you might be able to get a table without a reservation, but it's advisable to book ahead for weekends.
