We decided to share the knödel and each ordered a burger and fries. The knödel were good but not amazing, however, with Chinatown nearby, they face tough competition. The burgers were delicious with soft, tasty, and crispy fries. The server was friendly and made our experience enjoyable. The restaurant had a lively interior with good lighting and seating. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal here.
I and a friend visited project 219 for a casual dinner and drink. we had a great time in the bar below, a very hipster little place with very comfortable couches. eating was great to die the burgers and very reasonable size.
Projekt 219 is a small, hipster spot located on Russell Street that we stumbled upon while wandering the streets on a weekend in search of coffee and breakfast. The coffee is robust without being overly bitter, with options like flat whites and long blacks. We tried the big breakfast, which included speck, two eggs on toast, a hashbrown, and grilled mushrooms and spinach. The portion size was just right, the prices were reasonable, the food was delicious, and the service was friendly.
I adore the ambiance here. The drinks are a great value, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is very Melbourne. The cocktails are incredibly creative and delicious.
We found this place on Trip Advisor and after reading the reviews took the 800m walk from our hotel to try it out. We were not disappointed. The coffee was delicious and hot our second cup just as enjoyable as the first. My husband...had eggs benedict and I had a vege pattie with a poached egg and smoked salmon. Both meals were well presented, extremely tasty and not too large. Music was just right a blend of Norah Jones and contemporary soft blues and not overpowering. We recommend trying this place if you are in need of a quiet spot, a lovely hot coffee and some good fresh food.
