This place is HUGE!! Everyone should see at least one in your lifetime. It 's a destination. Vibe: Drove 45 minutes (from Dallas) to see this place I 'd been hearing about1st Impression: this place is massiveConcept: a gas station with all the snacks, fresh food, souvenirs you could wantI don 't know about you, but one of the best parts of a road trip is that first gas station visit. You know, where you fill up the car, search the isles for treats to snack on, and use the restroom (so you don 't have to stop for a couple hours). This place has it all!! You enter to smells of fresh meat off the grill, roasted nuts, and bakery items. After working my way around all the Buc-ee branded snacks, and souvenirs sections...I worked up an appetite. We selected a car picnic lunch of fresh brisket sandwich (hand cut in front of you), fresh fried chips, a sausage on a stick wrapped in tortilla, and a fresh cinnamon roll with icing pecans (heated upon request). The food was delicious!!! After eating our fill, we gassed up the car, used the super clean restrooms, then bought snacks for the road (Gotta have those roasted coated pecans!)This place is great for that refuel gas station visit where you can stretch your legs shop a little, grab good lunch, then a cute T-shirt or magnet to show you came through this place. So if your within an hour of Melissa Texas, come see this huge gas station like none you 've ever seen. It 's super clean, super nice and plenty of helpful staff, with about anything you could want to eat or snack!
For my first stop ever at a Buc-ee's, I have to admit it was pretty cool. HUGE PLACE, with tons of things to look at, sample, and buy. The staff are very helpful, but nothing compares to the restrooms... so clean and spacious! The only thing I was disappointed with was my Brisket sandwich. It had more fat than meat in it. Maybe I just got one from the end of the brisket.I will definitely be stopping by our local Buc-ee's when it open in Springfield.
This is the probably one of the busiest Buc-ee's locations I've ever been to. Who knew there was even one of these in MELISSA?! Not me until I was headed to a state park up north and saw it off the dang exit. So I stopped in on my way back home to see what it was all about. Please be careful driving thru here, people are zipping in and out, on TikTok, on Snap, posting on the gram. Distracted by what everyone else is doing on their phones. Not paying attention to you. It's a little hazardous, I suggest coming early during the week or during a non high traffic time. Of course all the bells and whistles are here like other locations. Awesome Texas themed/southern gifts for friends and the BBQ/treats/every soft drink you can think of. I love browsing through the candles, and home goods with fun sayings on them. The bathrooms were super clean per usual and plenty of gas pumps available. Anyway, I'm glad to know this one is a bit closer to my radar now. I enjoyed stopping through to explore.
There's so much in the place, and there's nothing negative about any of it. Clean bathrooms and about 100 gas pumps, literally. They make fresh sandwiches all day. The Bacon egg and cheese biscuit is delicious and so is the Beef Jerky. There's a huge selection of fresh beef jerky too. Highly recommend stopping here
