The Thai Elephant - Mendip

Can’t comment about take away as we have never had one but we eat her quiet often and it never fails! This was a Sunday evening and it was pretty busy. Nice friendly welcome and prompt service. Slowly working our way through the menu and so far always been well satisfied!

Possibly one of the worst takeaway dinners I have ever had. The chicken dish had a very odd texture, almost like reformed meat. Tilapia with coconut milk was perhaps the best dish we had, though a very thick and greasy texture. The noodles were absolutely disgusting, a congealed mass of sticky carbohydrate, completely unseasoned, with a sauce, mercifully served separately, of a handful of vegetables in a thin watery liquid, totally unseasoned. Very abrupt and rude on the phone when I called to order. Never again!

Ordered a takeaway for 4 people. The chicken was soo hard and dry definitely not freshly cooked. A shame as the sauce was nice. Please cook the meat fresh and make sure your meat is of good quality. After reading the last post about bad meat this should of been addressed

A firm favourite for us these days. Alway great service and food. Wonderful flavours and friendly staff. Brilliant!

Saturday night an unhappy customer at the next table complained about inedible lamb. The manager agreed said he had a new supplier. Customer asked for the lamb to be taken off the bill. Manager refused? Why, he agreed it was awful! Argument was getting heated. But manager would not back down. Such bad customer service. And I had lamb which was awful also. But after the way the customer was treated I just paid up and left. I will never go there again. I wish I had the courage to have stood up and b counted
