Dairy Queen - Merrillville

I placed my order online at 8:53, and it was supposed to be ready by 9:09. I waited in my car until then and sent my grandson in to pick it up. When I arrived at 9:21 to check on the situation, I found the staff looking confused and nothing had been prepared. They only started making my order at that point, which was incredibly frustrating. When they finally handed me my ice cream, it was half melted, and it was just carelessly tossed onto the counter. It would have fallen out if I had turned it upside down, just like a Blizzard is supposed to. I'm really disappointed and will not be returning to DQ. If the employees aren’t happy in their jobs, perhaps they should consider another line of work. I've spent 40 years in customer service before retiring, and I found the staff to be quite rude. They often used to say "be blessed," but it feels insincere if they don’t truly mean it.

I only visit this place for ice cream, and it’s consistently delicious.

This Dairy Queen is so much better than the one on 35th and Broadway due to its excellent service, reasonable prices, and quick service.

Visiting hometown and stopped at specific location where I’ve ordered an “Oreo frappe” dozens of times my entire childhood. Was just met with a giggle and told they don’t have those and never had those. I thought I was crazy and looked it up because maybe it was discontinued? Only to be met with a picture and description of the exact drink and name I was talking about idk, hope they figure their menu out.
