Maki Of Japan - Merrillville

I had a terrible first experience coming here with my elderly grandma.

Delicious food! The owner, Sunny, is very sweet. They're one of the least expensive places to eat in the Southlake mall & you get at least 2x the food.

Was sitting across from Maki in the food court when one of the employees dropped all the serving trays on the floor in front where everyone walks.

One of the best restaurants in the mall and a staple of NWI. Sad to see this place is gonna be closing, had to come in and get bourbon chicken one last time ?I hope the owner enjoys his well earned retirement and I wish all the best for him and his family!

Amazing food been going here for years! Sad they are closing this year wish they would stay open or open outside of the mall with a drive thru
