The food service was painfully slow, with the first entree taking 30 minutes, and the next two taking 15 minutes each. My grandmother, who is paralyzed, could probably prepare the food faster herself. The server could have done a better job of keeping us updated on our order or at least apologizing for the delays. When the food finally arrived, it was not worth the wait. The so-called "extra beef" in our japchae was nearly nonexistent, and the noodles were overly chewy. Overall, it was a mediocre and disappointing experience. The servers appeared disinterested; our neighbors left and, after over 30 minutes, their table still hadn't been cleaned. I won't be returning to Gogi—there’s plenty of better Korean food elsewhere. I wish I had just walked out.
Excellent dining experience! I would absolutely return for another meal! I ordered the Dak Bulgogi, and the atmosphere was inviting, with the lobby properly arranged to welcome guests. I didn’t have to wait at all and was seated right away. The food arrived quicker than I expected and was served at the perfect temperature—fresh and delicious! I also tried the dumplings appetizer; it was decent but not my favorite. However, I wouldn’t hesitate to order it again if someone else wanted to try it.
The atmosphere here is fantastic. The bulgogi beef is delicious and is served with numerous side dishes. Pairing it with some Soju makes for a wonderful meal. I highly recommend stopping by!
Maybe they 're the way they are because they have no competition? Food is mediocre and pricey. Banchan is meager and trying to get more is like pulling teeth. The waitress tries to say they ran out .. because they 're literally out of half the menu items too.. how can you be out of kimchi at the korean restaurant??? That 's like no tacos at a mexican restaurant, no pasta at an italian. I mean, I would just prefer you just charge me a little extra for more banchan if you don 'twant to give away free food, not lie about it. I do like the taste of the galbi and the bulgogi. The dumplings have no consistency inside, its mush and the tofu soup is peppery.
Gogi was definitely a really good experience. As you walk in to this restaurant you definitely get korean K-pop vibes which my teens and I loved. The decor was beautiful with a very friendly atmosphere. The food was piping hot when it arrived to the table and our waiter was very friendly and quick. Our waiter was very good at making suggestions and explaining what ingredients were in the food. If you like spicy food you'll definitely find it here and did I mention itsdelicious! For starters I definitely recommend the garlic soy wings and the kimbap!
