I had the chance to dine at Stella Wood Fired Bistro in July when our department visited our office in BGC from the USA. Everything we ordered was delicious and flavorful. It was definitely worth the price. This review would have been a 5-star one if they had updated the restaurant's design, but I understand they have a certain theme, although I'm not a big fan of it. However, overall, the experience was wonderful and I would definitely come back.
I had the grilled salmon, which was very good. The ice was not so good (but it's rarely freshly brewed in the Philippines except in some places). The service was good, but like all food service in the Philippines, you need to ask for things instead of them coming to you. I had to ask them to bring me my dessert.
I and my wife wanted to have cocktails and an early dinner after we picked stella near rocket room. we went in before 18 o'clock while the waiters still heated their motors. they were somehow in circles, cleaning and decorating. we sat and waited for someone who gave us the menu. we were the first one, so the menu was not so big. but we had to raise our hands to signal that there are some customers here as if we cannot be seen. so the fine herr gave us the menu for us to begin ordering. he got our commands right, then ten to fifteen minutes later came our head, while our salat did not arrive after another 10 minutes. By the way, we had to reheat that huh, as some parts were still ****. I think the facility has to bring her act together. it's like an actor who didn't try before his shoot. also the toilet was dirty, although the device was not yet packed. I was happier when I last visited.
It was deserted when we went for dinner and I thought it might be a bad sign. But service was attentive, serving time was short and the food was great and reasonably priced. Definitely try the chorizo pasta and the truffle mushroom wood-fired pizzas. Wine...was good, though the cocktails from next door Rocket Room were pretty awful.
