Menya Ramen House - Metuchen

We stopped by Friday for a quick lunch. There are several ramen places ???? in the area and this is the newest. We order the Tonkotsu ramen, Chashu don and beef korokke. The pork broth is very rich ????, ramen was good. Just wish there would be more broth. I would not recommend Chashu don as the meat was dry and very salty. Beef korokke was crispy and tasty.

One of my favorite ramen restaurants in the area because of their flavors and not-too-fatty broths! I must?ve eaten at Menya almost 10 times by now in a mix of lunches and occasional dinners. My go tos are their pork tonkotsu and most recently their chicken broth shio. If I?m super hungry I?ll usually order their pork rice bowl as well. I prefer Menya to many other ramen restaurants because their broth doesn?t hit so heavily as others, meaning I can finish a bowl and not feel terrible. Their staff are also friendly which helps. Note that they are on a Main Street so parking is on street or nearby.

This place is great! The ramen is delicious, the appetizers are great, and the staff is very friendly! The have counter seating and a few tables and convenient hooks to hang your bag. The people are super friendly?during our meal, the ramen chef came out from behind the counter to ask us if everything was good, which it was. The ramen is great. Both of us ordered the Vegan Kimchi Miso Ramen (without the kimchi). The flavor was superb! It was a bit on the saltier side, but I didn't mind?my bowl was completely empty by the end of our meal. All of the ingredients were tasty and fresh. I loved how you could see the ramen chef behind the acrylic counter. It really gave it a personal atmosphere. We got the Couple Set, which includes 2 ramen and 3 appetizers. All 3 appetizers were great, and the ramen, as mentioned before, was amazing. Will definitely be coming back here when in the area!

This place had some good vegetarian and vegan options. The food was awesome. I tried the spirit lifter (vegan) and it just had the right balance of flavors. Hands down will visit again to try other items on the menu. The staff was very polite and the service was very swift and good.

The food is amazing, I've been here a few times and the bowls are prefect! I really love the corn, onions, and scallion combination. This place differentiates the food with those toppings because no other place has it like that( I've been to 5 different ramen places) other places add extra stuff such as a rice cake or an egg, which I don't want in my bowl. The food here is flavorful but not salty at all, I had the spicy kaisen, I think my boyfriend tried the spicy miso.
