Dirt Dog-showcase Mall - Midtown UNLV

Usually, I head over to the food court since it's the least expensive food place. This food court was packed with almost nowhere to sit. Saw no line at the Dirt Dog place, so I headed over to try it out. I ordered the Philly Steak Hot Dog with a side of fries and a drink

Carne asada fries are a must try! Service was amazing and if you like your fries nice and crunchy, this is the place to go!!

I got into this food court and didn’t want to miss any local restaurants, so I went for this and it was a solid spot. Expensive, but it was good.

We visited on a Thursday during lunch so maybe that was our mistake, but the food was overall disappointing. We ordered a DUI Dog and the carne asada was very dry and the pastrami was rubbery. I ended up scraping the toppings off and eating the hotdog and bun plain. The hotdog and bun were great, but the toppings were pretty terrible. We also ordered the Patty Melt and we each took a bite to try it, and threw the rest away. The cheddar sauce chipotle aioli combination was very gritty and hard to get through. We ordered plain fries and these were very good. They were crispy and very fresh.
