Vintage Cafe - MILDMAY

The initial impression of this restaurant is positive, as the decor is beautiful and the desserts look appetizing. However, our experience went downhill from there. The food was bland and lacking in flavor, and the service from the owner/server was unwelcoming. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience and we do not plan on returning.

I decided to have brunch at this restaurant on a Sunday. I have been here a few times before and tried their cupcakes, which were just okay. I ordered the eggs Benedict and my wife had the poutine, planning to share both dishes. To our surprise, the eggs in the eggs Benedict were overcooked and not runny as expected. The eggs in the poutine were also hard, which was unexpected. The prices were reasonable, but we found the service to be lacking, although the waitress seemed to be new. She offered to replace the eggs, but we declined as it seemed like a waste. In conclusion, we may not return here in the future, but might give it another try if we happen to be in Mildmay again.

I couldn't believe that the selection of baked goods! our lunch was fantastic, the best bowl of suppe I had for a long time. defiantly will stop soon! one must stop when you go through mildmay!

Ordered the chili for my year old child and a cursed veggie pot cake for me, while the family tried this restaurant for the first time. the gluten-free toast with the chili was burned (burning side down to hide it)...and the potcakes were all chopped, and the boobs from above were carburized black and mixed by the cake. when they pointed out that they were burned, the workers did not seem too worried and actually argued that the gluten-free brot always burn because of the melasse in it. can't even make it dead? I had to ask a knife and scrape off the black parts of the toast in the müll in the bathroom. the potcake was replaced and had still burned in it. very lame apology and felt as if I had brought them out. By the way, we were also the only customers at this time. not as if we had made a problem while the dinge were busy. the employees hardly gave us the time of the day and we felt like we didn't have them to be there. we will not be happy again.

There are a wide variety of sweet treats and a diverse menu at this cafe, with homemade everything, including sandwich bread! This small bake shop/cafe is perfect for a meal in a welcoming atmosphere with delicious food. Plus, there are plenty of gluten-free options available.
