Rice Factory - Milltown

This eatery is our favorite Thai restaurant. There is a separate tea menu, with ample selections of quality teas. Soups are delicious and perfectly seasoned. The decor is as charming as the service. Updated from previous review on 2021-02-16

Ordered: •Mussaman Curry w/Mock Duck •Tofu Vegetable Pad Thai Total: $40.41 The curry was actually delicious however while the mock duck was good with a spoonful of curry and vegetables, whenever I ate it alone I found it to be pretty odd tasting, otherwise its a good replacement for meat and firmer than some tofu’s. The pad thai was pretty bland, but I would say that every pad thai ive ordered from takeout (from various places) is disappointing. I think it would probably taste better fresher, it was pretty bad especially for an expensive dish. Obviously the place is expensive, I’ve ordered from other thai restaurants for less than $15 an entree, here it was $20 per entree. Overall I wouldn’t likely eat here again mostly because of the price.

Not so great food .. despite good ambiance. They did not follow notes for the order .. also the Thai curry was too watery , lacked aroma and rice portion was too small. Overall poor service . I have been a patron of this family run establishment for the better part of 15 years. Not only is the food immaculate for a family owned restaurant that offers all the favorites of your everyday Thai restaurant, but keeps the menu brief cause if they didn't I don't believe the food would come out as fast as it does! Regardless of how busy it is each course/item ordered comes out as you finish the one prior. The place is really nice for the area it's in terms of ambiance. Also as an added plus bathrooms are clean as well!!! Try the Thai ice tea with either drunken noodles or Thai green curry spice level two with beef!

I am gluten free and they have an entire menu for that! Their thai iced tea, tom yum soup, sweet and spicy GF wings, chicken satay, red and green curry, and their drunken noodles are AMAZING and to die for. Flavor and taste is very good.
