After driving for almost an hour we walked in and were greeted by a friendly staff serving a wide assortment of delicious-looking treats, including gelato. After purchasing a variety of items and coffee, we sampled some of the treats as we lounged on Muskoka chairs on the patio overlooking beautiful Lake Rosseau. The prices were on the higher side, but the quality, size and amazing taste were more than worth it. We headed back in to replenish our baked goods before journeying back to the cottage. We will definitely be back next summer.
The cookie ate my brownie!!! OMG! Couldn't resist buying a few of those. It's a big chocolate chip cookie with a mysterious hump in the middle, I guess that cookie really did eat my brownie! So it's like 2 sweets in one. Genius invention! Hop in your boat and motor over to Abbey's Bake House on a beautiful sunny morning for coffee and a pastry. A gorgeous 19th century Church from Nova Scotia was rebuilt from its original location and now lives on the shores of Lake Rosseau in Muskoka.
Awesome bakery with great sandwiches and pies. Bacon focaccia is amazing bread. Brownie stuffed cookie is a must try and so are the wild blueberry pies.
Everything about this place is great. We had cookies, sandwiches and maple bacon butter pie. Just go and sit outside and enjoy the view !!!Perfect
Amazing brownies, wonderful staff and the location is so picturesque. You won't regret venturing down the gravel road to get to it.
