Captain Hook Fish Chicken - Minneapolis

The Google listing and the sign on the door indicated that the restaurant closes at 10 PM, but when we arrived around 9:50 PM, the doors were already locked.

I've been there twice so far and definitely plan to go back. I've tried the catfish, chicken strips, and ocean perch, and everything has been great. I'm not really into shrimp or wings, so I can't comment on those. But the hush puppies—wow! They taste exactly how I hoped they would! Just a heads up: everything is made to order, so be prepared to wait a bit for it to cool down. The staff is fantastic—very friendly and patient.

The food was excellent! I wish they offered oranges for the icees, though. The person at the front desk was a bit rude and seemed short-tempered with us. I prefer the other location where the staff is always cheerful and friendly. Kudos to the cooks for the great food! If you’re representing the company, it would be nice to see a smile and for you to put your phone down when customers come in. That’s all for now!

Always fresh. The seasoning that they throw on almost everything (if not everything) fried is exquisite. Love the catfish and shrimp, and the fries are always crispy and have you coming back for more. Would be a 4 star because of the pop machine being out of order, but the food is too quality to earn less than 5. Also they have a wide variety of sodas, so it isn't a huge issue. It would be great if there was a drive thru option, but they do take orders in advance and you can order it for foot dash as well. I?m not from Minnesota, so it was fun to try fish n chips with catfish.
