Since my girlfriend is a vegetarian, Pete suggested a couple of pasta dishes for her, and she went with those. Overall, it was a wonderful meal, and Pete truly is an amazing bartender. Things were a bit slow, but we anticipated that due to the crowd, and it was definitely worth the wait. We’ll definitely be back, and we’ll make a point to sit at the bar again and catch up with Pete. 5/5!
I visited this restaurant for a work dinner about a week ago and overall, I had a pleasant experience. However, it wasn't really because of the food or service, but mainly due to the location. The atmosphere turned out to be the strongest aspect of the place. The restaurant and bar are beautifully arranged and decorated with a modern vibe. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking to enjoy a drink or a bite in a nice setting, especially after work, as long as they don’t have high expectations for the culinary experience. The food was satisfactory, but not exceptionally good (and it didn’t quite reflect Northern Italian cuisine as advertised—I'm from that region). The service could also be quite slow (which was our experience). Nonetheless, the enjoyable ambiance made for a nice overall experience.
For pasta, I opted for the fettuccine verde. While my friend enjoyed it, I found it excessively salty. However, the spinach poppyseed pasta impressed me; it was clearly made fresh on site and had a delightful, fresh taste. The pappardelle was also quite good, especially with the flavorful pork ragu and tomato—hard to go wrong there. As for the seafood cavatelli, it could have been better. The flavors of the seafood and the pasta, along with its sauce, didn't quite blend, making the seafood taste a bit disconnected from the dish. We finished with two desserts: the chocolate panna cotta and the almond frangipane, both of which were outstanding—definitely deserving of a 10/10! Overall, it was a pleasant experience that satisfied my curiosity about the restaurant.
If it was not for a terrible lunch I had on the same day, I did not plan to dine here during my MSP vacation. At the recommendation of one of Emery's general managers, I figured I would have dinner here on the last day of my vacation. I spokewith their executive chef briefly before sitting down for my dinner and him being relatively new (started in May 2022) showed inmy main dish. I ordered their seafood cavatelli and it would have been a great dish had it not been so darn salty! I saw anotherrecent review about a negative experience with their hostess and the same happened to me when I made a reservation, she neverasked for my name... When I arrived and told a host staff that I was there for my reservation, I was not the least bit surprisedhe could not find it. Compared to my dinner at Ciao bella, this Italian dinner was a disappointment given that you pretty muchspend the same amount of money at both places. Good cocktail and the high level of service provided by their wait staff saved mydining experience.
This place is great! It was our first time in and we had a great experience. Our hostess was incredible. We were in Friday night and I didn?t grab her name, but while she walked us to our table, she gave us such great recommendations for appetizers and wasso kind! Our server was new and didn?t have a great run down of the menu yet, so we really had to lean on the hostess forrecommendations for main dishes (I actually went back to the host stand to ask her! . Would definitely recommend checking out. Ifelt it was slightly pricey for the portion size you get, but the food was great.
