Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the more modern format. Last time I dined at a La Casita it was the original format large facility, large menu, average food. This version is smaller, more modern, fewer menu items, and very savory food.
First time eating here all our food was delicious the service was great too would for sure be coming back.
I'm such a sucker for cultural appropriation with some old historical photos and old style architectural bits to go with some awesome food that's as authentic as will still sell in Minnesota. We love our dairy and it can only be so spicy for us! The steak tacos were awesome and I loved how watery the salsa was. Yeah, I'm white and nerdy like Weird Al claims. This place with fast and good service is perfect for folks like us that don't have time to actually go visit Baja California in Mexico and ride very far in a saddle. Photos of horses back in the day never need their stalls mucked out of plus this place was open until 9 in a suburban location! :D
So very disappointed they've taken carnitas off the menu. What they're serving currently is the same tired shredded pork as every other restaurant in town. The previous iteration was large chunks of pork marinated in abodo chiles and other spices and tasted amazing. For me personally, there's just not a reason to continue going to LaCasita.
