I'm visiting from Louisiana for a week, and I had to come here twice. The food is exceptional and reminds me of home. Food: 5/5.

Everything I tried was delicious, from the fried BBQ chicken to the cornbread, cabbage, and the mac and cheese, which was absolutely phenomenal (chef's kiss). The restaurant features a mix of R&B songs and videos playing, creating a nostalgic atmosphere, along with pictures and biographies of many notable African Americans and their contributions to society. I loved the experience and highly recommend it to anyone in search of good, home-cooked food!

The food is served buffet-style, so you simply choose the dishes you want and specify the portions. At the end, your meal is weighed ($8.95 per pound), whether you opt for a to-go box or enjoy it in-house. Beverage options range from Kool-Aid to soda and beyond! I can’t wait to return. Upon entering the restaurant, I was immediately struck by the decor. It’s clear that a great deal of time and thought has gone into creating the ambiance of the place. This attention to detail naturally extends to the food as well. I was warmly welcomed by the owner, who guided us through the buffet offerings and explained everything in detail. The selection was impressive, featuring a wide variety of dishes. The pricing is straightforward, with a reasonable rate of nine dollars per pound, which is quite competitive compared to other buffets. The food itself was delicious, showcasing numerous options, and the owner made a point to visit our table and introduce herself, which really highlighted her commitment to customer satisfaction. I highly recommend this restaurant—stop by and give the food a try!

The food was incredible, and while the service was a bit slow and could have been friendlier, it's a family-owned restaurant, so they are still in the learning process. They were very accommodating and ensured I had everything I needed. I ordered takeout, but I wouldn’t mind dining in because it felt like being at home, enjoying a meal with my family!
