Baja Fresh - Mission Viejo

I'm not typically a fan of Mexican food, but my friend suggested this spot for a quick lunch, so I decided to give it a try. I had the Wahoo taco and the steak taco, and both were outstanding! As a picky eater, I really appreciate fresh, high-quality meat and fish, and these tacos delivered. The steak taco was probably the best I've had in years, if not ever. I also ordered a shrimp chili lime salad, and despite not wanting onions — just like in my tacos — they included pico de gallo that had onions mixed in, which meant I had to pick them out one by one, and that was a bit frustrating. However, the salad was still quite tasty. The dressing is on the spicy side, so I'm not sure if I'd order that dish again. But I will definitely be back for more tacos!

The service was fast and friendly, and the food was delicious and served warm. Is this a fast food restaurant? It certainly doesn't feel like one, as the food quality is excellent and there are plenty of options for vegans and vegetarians.

The service here is excellent; the staff is friendly and always greets us with a smile. I enjoy visiting Baja Fresh with my kids. Their grilled wahoo tacos are fantastic, and I’m thrilled that the salsa bar has returned after all the COVID restrictions.

This location in Mission Viejo is fantastic. Shout to Steven, the manager who welcomed us to ensure that our food and experience were all excellent. Love how they grill the outside of Burritos. Our food was fantastic. Covid has closed the salsa bar, but all salsas are available in individual portions. So glad to see the Baja Fresh busy. Some places close.

The people here are fast and friendly. Low turnover doubtless plays a role in that. The food is consistently good as well. Indoor and outdoor dining are both available and the parking lot is very large. I recommend trying the Impossible Meat burrito which is consistently good.
