Contribuisci feedbackHistorically, I have enjoyed to some degree the sandwiches from this restaurant, but was never blown away. However, yesterday I ordered an 1/4 lbs kosher all-beef chili-dog. Underneath the chili, I thought the dog looked much paler than usual, but I brushed it off and took my first and only bite, which I immediately spit out. This dog was not all beef or any beef. 5 stars is not enough. They make the best damn sandwiches. 6 stars.
I've tried so hard to like Fozzie's, but every time I go I recall why I avoid it. At noon we placed an order online for pickup at 5:30pm en route to an event. We didn't walk out with our order until 6:00pm. This alone wouldn't typically merit a bad review, but I've had to wait like this every time I've eaten there. Moved to the area from Chicago suburbs. Haven’t had a good Italian beef around here until trying Fozzies the provolone has a real Smokey taste and the Gardena is very mild different then I’m used to but very good.
I’ve been to Fozzie’s a handful of times and today will be my last. The quality has gone downhill with each visit. I stopped in to get a quick sandwich and ordered the S.P.O. The menu lists it as sausage, peppers, onions, and provolone on a garlic hoagie. When I unwrapped it at home, it was covered in marinara sauce. It’s not that I don’t like marinara, but it did perturb me that it was not listed on the menu. Moreover, the “sandwich” was smothered in marinara. It wasn’t even a sandwich at that … – show
