Railroad Cafe - Mitchell

The restaurant can get quite busy at times, so you may need to wait for service. However, the food is exceptional. I've had my fair share of tenderloin over the years, and this one stood out as the largest and breaded version I've ever had. It was incredibly tender and flavorful. If you're a fan of tenderloin, I highly recommend checking out this eatery in Mitchell, IN – you won't be disappointed with the food. They also offer daily specials, and the prices are very reasonable.

We both ordered the club sandwich, and it was truly outstanding! It was served warm and bursting with flavor. The service was exceptional; the staff worked well together, so we never had to wait for anything. We only wish we lived closer so we could return more often!

Absolutely a must-try! I had the tenderloin and onion rings, and it was fantastic. Everyone in the family enjoyed their meals as well.

We waited 30 minutes for our food, and it was not worth the wait. The sausage gravy had no sausage pieces we could find, but lots of flour lumps, and the biscuits were super hard on the bottom, so it was pretty much unedible. The bacon was hard, but not crispy. I asked for eggs over medium and got over easy. The scrambled eggs were runny. Nothing we got was good, not the pancakes (floury), the sausage (tasted a little weird), the grits had fake butter, and the unsweet tea wasn't even that good. I like to support small businesses, but unfortunately we won't be going back.

Food was very good and hot but if you are in a hurry forget it. We ordered the special thinking it's already made. Took 30 minutes. That's not enough time to cook meatloaf so I guess it was frozen. Didn't have time to eat after getting it so took it home.
