When you need some home cooking, the guys at Backyard makes it tastes great.
11/10/21: I'm so sorry to say that I will no longer patron at this establishment anymore. I went there today and got a smothered pork chop plate and a slice of cake for my husband and my total was almost $16.00. The problem I have with that is they only gave me ONE pork chop which is a total rip-off for the price I paid and they usually give two pork chop like at Michigan Ave Mary's. Rather than arguing about the fact, I just won't spend any money with them again. I've been trying to spend money at Black owned businesses more during this pandemic but this one has lost a customer!2yrs ago: This is one of my favorite places to eat good soul food at. I love their dressing on Sundays. My favorite order is turkey wings, macaroni and cheese, candied yams, greens, corn bread muffin, and a slice of red velvet cake. Seafood Fridays are good too.
They deserve ten stars! They really need to close down and teach others how to cook because they have the “glow”.
Food is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced.
