Deano's Barbecue - Mocksville

I visited this restaurant for the first time tonight. They were only offering takeout, which turned out to be a great option. The food was delicious, but be careful if you plan to eat while driving – my sandwich was stacked high, making it difficult to manage. It’s conveniently located just a short walk from I-40, between Winston-Salem and Statesville.

I've been enjoying BBQ prepared by Deano for over 40 years, both at his current location in Mocksville and previously when he was at Bucks Bar-B-Que. I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal at either place, including the wedding dinner he catered for my son.

The food is always great, and the service is friendly. My go-to is the double pimento cheese burger.

My first time here and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was good but not spectacular. I got the sliced pork plate with 2 sides. The wife got the pimento cheeseburger plate with sweet potato fried and loved it. There was a little bit of a wait to getseated but that's because they were busy. The waitstaff was very friendly and knew most of the regulars by name. I likethat! My favorite part about this place? The price! Two lunches for around $20 bucks including the tip. Can't beat that!

Fast and friendly service! This hidden gem in Mocksville has the best barbecue in town. Their red slaw is amazing and the banana pudding is so delicious!
