Another reason as well was my family enjoyed the "hot pot" addition to the buffet transaction. They love seafoods and that's what they have got. And that's about it. Alright now with the experience. Seriously the guys that get your plates and the guy at the bar can seriously get some training on how to be professional when doing customer service and perhaps learn how to smile. I'm sorry but I hate it when people work and looks like they got fired at the same time. I also noticed that their service and food were not consistent whereas we got a different food and selection from the last visit. Tho the dessert that I had were pretty good. I love the tarts and the different cakes too ! Yumm!! Ps. I personally hate it when there's still customers in the restaurant and the staff starts cleaning (1 hr before closing times).
The current phone number is not connected. Could someone please advise what has happened? I tried more than 5 times today and unsuccessful. I need to book a table next week for my birthday. Many thanks
So my thoughts of this restaurant are very mixed. In previous visits I have had a great experience and the staff were very friendly. Although the last 2 times I have came I've been very upset with both the service and food. To begin, the last few times the staff have been rushed and ignored customers waiting whether that be for drinks, to pay or ask questions. One of the female staff spent all her time talking to customer for at least 30 minutes without moving. Now usually I wouldn't mind although I had to order drinks and was not served for 15 minutes. When it came to the time which I could finally get some food. I went to the hot food section the quantity of food was little and the cooks were not refilling it. After other customers asking for more food to be brought out they finally brought more food 20 minutes later. A lot of the food was overcooked. The bread was also stale and there was no butter provided what so ever. After speaking to the lady about getting some butter she said unfortunately we have none so I put the bread back and left it. I looked over the dessert menu to find that there were many options which looked great. Personally I love desserts so I was a kid in a candy store. The first dessert I ran for was the banana caramel tarts and I as I bit into it, I thought I was going to break my teeth because it was frozen solid. I decided to leave it and ask a staff when I finally got to a staff member they said sorry there is nothing we can do and then walked away in a rush. The only other thing I can fault is the a few of the sponge filled cakes were very dry. Other than that the desserts were great. After good experiences and bad Civic Park is a good restaurant you just have to hope you pick a good day.

Bad service. We were wanting to eat the hotpot buffet, and so after paying up front we assumed they would bring it to us (also this was our first time here, we paid $58 because the lady boss told us to). Nothing came so we went up to ask at the counter, and the lady boss told me I need to pay extra $2.8 for each person to get hotpot. I was surprised the lady didn't tell me about this in the beginning, but since that was the reason we came here so I decided to pay extra. So I took out of my card and wanted to pay but they have minimum $10 eftpos, We searched all our pockets but only found the coins were enough for one person. I came to the counter again and said to the boss as I only have the cash enough for one person, so I will be the only one having hot pot.She just said I CANT DO THAT to me and answered the phone straight away and ignored me. She only accepted after I said she can charge me more on my card if she wants. However after I paid extra, she still told me they have the minimum $10 eftpos in a very bad attitude. So I told her In a nice way that "probably you should tell me first when you asked us to pay, as I thought the $58 is for everything"; and she just scorned at me rudely saying "NO WAY" and just ignore me for another customer. I have never ever been treated like this, if I haven't paid in the beginning I would just walk off. However comparing with the lady boss, the waitress who served us was helpful and friendly.
